'PulseBeat' Special Looks at Heart and Vascular Health

A team led by cardiologist Mark Woodard, D.O., (above) provides care in one of the two cardiac catheterization laboratories at Great River Heart and Vascular Center, which opened last year to diagnose and treat heart attacks and related conditions. A half-hour television documentary will air this month to introduce the center and to help educate area residents about heart and vascular health.

Lake Geode Challenge Triathlon Set for July 14

Great River Medical Center is the lead sponsor for this summer's Lake Geode Challenge triathlon. The Olympic-distance event will provide triathletes of all abilities with a fun and challenging race. Last year's overall winner Mike Morrison (above) from Urbandale, Iowa, crosses the finish line with his sons.
