Company Background
Equilibrix was founded in 2001 by Myriam Cohen, a
business consultant and programmer. As an entreprenuer
herself, she had previously started, managed and sold
SelectJOBS.com, an Internet-based employment classifieds
service for small and medium-sized businesses. Through
her many dealings with clients, she learned that the
critical need to increase customer retention was becoming
a significant problem.
Myriam assembled a team of technology, e-business,
customer service, and marketing professionals and
started Equilibrix to work in conjunction with the
traditional advertising methods already in place (yellow
pages, post cards, newspaper, etc.). The resulting
venture is Equilibrix, the first technology-based
electronic marketing tool for the local business-owner.
